Going Deep

Music and art and taters, oh my!

Man, I just don't know what to write about the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. I have a good time every year I go but for some reason I'm coming up blank. I could write about the how I was introduced to local band Lovie for the first time. I remember wanting to recommend the sublime roasted corn and tater twisters despite the inconvenience of having to pay with tickets instead of cash. The art was fun to scan through, at least, although my budget only allowed for print versions of originals. Oh yeah, and I totally hated getting a parking ticket for not putting enough in my meter. That sucked. Anyway, I'm at a loss of what to tell you about the Deep Ellum Arts Festival other than you should probably check out the art, food and music yourself Friday through Sunday in, um, Deep Ellum. Check out details at deepellumartsfestival.com.
