It’s kind of a foul one, that Jim Carrey Grinch movie. At least, you think it is. Your kids don’t care about your reasons for hating these Whos, they don’t care a bit that you aren’t a fan of all the noise, noise, noise in the movie, nor are they bothered by your assertion that this adaptation totally stinks, stanks, stunks. You can’t stop this holiday movie from coming, no matter how hard you try—so perhaps it’s time you grit your teeth, find the strength of ten grinches—plus two—and turn it into an opportunity for a little bit of free holiday fun at Fair Park’s screening of The Grinch That Stole Christmas at 7 p.m. Thursday in Marine Square (near the Parry Avenue DART entrance). Bring your cheer, your picnic basket, and maybe a cup of spiked hot chocolate to help get you through one of your kiddos’ most wonderful, awful Christmas traditions. Visit fairpark.org for more.
