Photographer Nell Dorr was best known for her explorations of the relationships between mother and child, capturing enduring images of newborns and the women that spawned them. She was no one-trick pony, however, also dabbling in moody pictures of cowboys and abstract light experiments. Nell Dorr: From Everlasting to Everlasting is the first comprehensive exhibit collecting images from Dorr’s archives, which are housed at Fort Worth’s Amon Carter Museum. Catch it now through October 6; the Amon Carter Museum is located at 3501 Camp Bowie Blvd. Call 817-738-1933 or visit cartermuseum.org.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: May 17. Continues through Oct. 6, 2008
