We know — the economic times are hard. We believe that our work of reporting on the critical stories unfolding right now is more important than ever.

We need to raise $6,000 to meet our goal by August 10. If you’re able to make a contribution of any amount, your dollars will make an immediate difference in helping ensure the future of local journalism in Dallas. Thanks for reading the Dallas Observer.

Together with the Dallas Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Dallas Yoga Center, the Crow Collection of Asian Art is wrapping up Art in October with an EnLIGHTened Evening: Diwali, an event celebrating the festival of lights observed by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs worldwide. It’ll be an evening of dance, meditation and other activities, so grab the friends and family and light it up with an EnLIGHTened Evening: Diwali from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday at the Crow Collection of Asian Art, 2010 Flora St. The event is free to the public.
