Immersed in Ink Tattoo Convention returns to Dallas for a weekend-long celebration of needles, skin art and sideshow phenomena this Friday through Sunday. Happening at the Mesquite Convention Center, Ink's website promises an assault on your tender bits -- emotional and otherwise.

Human suspensions will be performed onsite, testing the limits of skin's durability. Those 8 gauge hooks, lifting humans like loose buttons, will jockey for your attention while sideshow acts perform. Beds of nails, machete ladders, burlesque, sword play, aerialist clowns, bullwhips, human flames, a midget stunt show, Miss Tattoo Contest and the best skin art talent from Texas and surrounding states will gather in the name of ink.

But mostly, you'll go for the people watching.

We've got a pair of day passes to give away. Just email me [email protected] with the subject line "That looks sharp!" with your contact information. I'll do a random drawing at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and alert the winner. Good luck, thrill-seekers. (Haven't liked us on Facebook yet? Let's remedy that.)
