As Scott wrote about last week, Guy Fieri is in town to shoot episodes for his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives at Maple and Motor and Pecan Lodge.

We caught word that they also filmed at Chop House Burgers in Arlington yesterday. I called Chef Kenny Mills today.

"I'm living the dream," said Mills, who worked at The Capitol Grille, Sullivan's and Dallas Chop House before opening his little burger joint in central Arlington.

The episode will air sometime in February. I asked Chef Mills if he's going to expand some more (he already has once) after the show airs.

"They told me I needed to," said Mills, "They said it'll increase my business so much after being on the show that I'll probably need to expand again. If everything worked out correctly and the numbers were right, I might consider it."

Guy wasn't the only celebrity at Chop House yesterday though.

"Earl Campbell was here too," said Mills of the football great. "I make my gumbo with Earl Campbell sausage instead of andouille, and Guy is a big fan of Earl Campbell, so he worked the deal to get Earl to come up here."

"So, he was here and we made the gumbo. Earl liked it so much he asked for a gallon to take home back to Austin."

It all added up to a pretty exciting day for a burger joint.

"It was a really big day. I've done a lot of things in my 33 years in the restaurant business, but this was by far the coolest," said Mills

Fieri and the crew of DDD wrapped up the day at Dough Pizzeria. Per the restaurant's Facebook page:

Guy Fieri & Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives crew chose to eat at Dough Pizzeria last night while in town filming. Guy said that he eats at a lot of places obviously but that Dough San Antonio made a lasting impression on him when he filmed there earlier this year & he had to try it again in Dallas. Guy told us, "You guys are hitting it out of the park". Thanks Guy & DDD crew for honoring us last night.

Oh & he likes truffle oil.

Of course he does.
